Quixote Rescue

Nestled within the heart of Quixote Farm, our Animal Rescue focuses on providing a safe haven for equine farm animals and other beloved creatures. All the animals on our property, with the exception of our many squirrel neighbors, have been rescued and are now part of our growing family. Currently, we’re home to three wonderful horses—Mariposa, Diego, and Freya—alongside Ollie the alpaca and Hotey the donkey (inspired by Don Quixote himself!).

Looking ahead to 2025, we plan to expand our rescue facilities, adding a large turnout area and barn, creating more space to welcome additional rescue animals.

How You Can Help

Our rescue efforts thrive on community support, and soon, we’ll be welcoming volunteers ready to make a real difference. Volunteering at Quixote Farm Animal Rescue offers a hands-on experience where you can contribute directly to the well-being of our animals. Typical activities will include grooming, feeding, walking, and stall cleaning.

We are especially seeking individuals with experience in handling farm animals that may have come from difficult backgrounds. Some of our residents have faced past neglect or trauma, and they need gentle, patient care as they learn to trust and feel safe again.
