We lived in Torrey Pines when I was a little girl for a time, and our neighbor Mrs. Nelson had a guava tree. She would bring us guava jam, and the smell and taste were pure heaven. That love of guava never left, and it's what inspired this smooth, ruby-red jam packed with the tropical intensity of pink guava. It's bright, bold, and just exotic enough to feel like a treat every time you open the jar.
We make it with pink guava purée, pure cane sugar, and a bit of citrus pectin to give it that perfectly spreadable texture. Try it on toast, swirl it into yogurt, or pair it with salty cheese.
